Intellectual property is anything that is created by anyone’s intellect. It can be any idea, any plan, any strategy, or any art; everything falls under the category of intellectual property. For example, if a poet writes a new poem, it is his or her intellectual property, if a chairperson of any organization makes a strategy to broaden his or her business, then it is their intellectual property. Every unique idea originated from a human mind is their intellectual property.

These are the four major types of intellectual property protection that can safeguard one's unique inventions.
